Yale Medicine specialists are known for their training and clinical expertise, but you may not realize that the provision of telehealth services is yet another area in which our experience is both wide and deep. For hospitals, we’ve offered tele-stroke care for more than a decade and now provide tele-ICU services as well. We also have more than five years’ experience delivering patient care via telehealth, time that has enabled us to build an effective and efficient process. Our specialists collectively conduct 100 telehealth visits every half-hour and patient feedback has been excellent.
In addition to seeing patients in person, as needed and appropriate, Yale Medicine specialists now offer telehealth visits across the full spectrum of our clinical practice. With our MyChart + Zoom platform, patients find our services easy and convenient to use and, in many cases, are able to self-schedule their visits online using our patient portal or using MyChart. Though satisfaction with our services is already high, we work regularly to improve the experience for referring providers, patients and our own physicians.
Yale Medicine, the academic medical practice of the renowned Yale School of Medicine, is here for you and your patients. We invite you to peruse our new MDConnect website to learn about our providers, our services and other information relevant to your practice. Of particular note in these difficult pandemic times is a section which offers COVID-related CME. A new offering on how to work with patients to overcome vaccine hesitancy is coming soon. Also featured are CME programs from Yale Cancer Center and a Digestive Health virtual CME series on topics ranging from pancreatitis to weight loss to GERD and more.
